Yes I've read it, and I think that RM would be great - such a nifty
shifty character.
What other books have wonderful characters in them where you envisage RM
in the role?

Yes! I would love to see RM in a Star Wars movie. Maybe in the
prequels, that is, in the first trilogy? Anyone else see him as a
Jedi Master (dark or light, take your pick)? Maybe even as [insert
Empire theme here] the Emperor!

Except for his not being tall enough, I think RM would've been perfect
as Robinton in McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series. But Lytol,
also from the same series, would be just as good (and prominent) a
role. Can anybody confirm rumors of a Dragonflight film?

I thought it was good of RM to refer to VP as what the Irish call a darling man.

Well I think he'd play a fantastic S. Carolinus from Gordon R. Dickson's
Dragon and the George, and The Dragon Knight.
Not to mention he's already portrayed Samwise from Lord of the Rings better
than I could picture anyone else.
BCNUA,

Looking back on the RM movies I've seen to date, I can count more times
where RM dies in films than he lives! I'd be very interested to find out
what the exact ratio of live characters to dead ones is. I'm making it my
goal to find out. I don't want to name movies as that might spoil it for
others, but he's had quite a few death scenes...and I must say when RM goes
he always goes out in style.
The best death scene ever would have to be (and I'm not going to use the
actual title) in a little film which has a finale similar to Hitchcock's The
Man Who Knew Too Much, and co-starred a young actor who had yet to receive a
middle initial. If you can guess the film, would you agree that that was
one heck of a way to go?

You are a truly wicked and evil man, Brian ... my poor old brain is in
no condition to figure this out right now and so it's going to nag me
all through my convention and into next week.
God'll getcha fer this... and if god don't, *I* will.... ;-)

As long as it's not a role where you'll miss him if you blink! But
wasn't he just great in Dead of Winter?

Is the young actor MF? Does the film have another SciFi actor with
initials SA who starred in LOTG, and have a scene involving rabbits?
If that *is* the (trashy) movie, yup, that would be another memorable
death scene (*vrrooom* AAAAAAH *crash*).

Hi everyone, I was told the Biography www address recently and thought
you might be interested in it.
http://www.biography.com
It lists all the people that they've ever done a show on, as well as
lots of other stuff (I didn't have time to find out - as I only found it
yesterday afternoon). Hope that this is of interest to you.

Hey, --Brian! Do we help her out or do we let her be miserable until next
week? He, he, I'm feeling wicked today. You better be the one to decide
coz you're the one whose life is in danger.

Subject: Reassembled BEDKNOBS and BROOMSTICKS
A newly extended version of Disney's BEDKNOBS and BROOMSTICKS starring
Angela Lansbury, David Tomlinson, Roddy McDowall and some great live
action/animated sequences, will be shown at the Motion Picture Academy in
Beverly Hills on Friday September 27.
This was really Disney's only successful attempt to create another MARY
POPPINS kind of film.
Much was cut from this film, or shortened, before it was released - many
of those things, except for one number which remains lost, have been put
into this version. There is also the new inclusion of a song that was cut
during production and was never in the film, and the restoration of Roddy
McDowall's scenes, which were almost entirely missing from the original
release.
Angela Lansbury, Roddy McDowall, and probably the Sherman Brothers are
scheduled to appear.
---------------------------------
So maybe when watching the new version, we can already blink.

In a book about birthdays that I own, I just happened to look up RM's
birthdate and here are some interesting facts I found out about Sept. 17th
people:
1.Sept. 17 people are attracted to Gemini, Pisces, & Taurus
2. They are left brained logical thinkers
3. Thier strengths are persistent, tenacious, and undoubted
4. They have a strange sense of humor
5.They go out of their way to impress, shock, or attract others
As I get more info, I keep you posted. I just thought this was
interresting.

That makes two of us. When I watched the film, I was impressed that RM
was credited third billing on such minimal screen time (I took care not to
blink). Remembering also something I read in a book on Lerner and Loewe,
where it was said that the duo tried to dissuade Roddy from the Mordred
role because it was too small for "an actor of his stature ... and
salary", I also thought that RM must have earned a mint from B&B.

One can only hope that their 'wisdom' would extend to this. After all,
what would be the point then of the restoration?
How was Labor Day?

Stupid as this may sound, I had no idea that stuff had been cut from Bedknobs and

Gosh, this also makes me wonder -- think of all the puzzlingly curtailed parts our RM
has played. Might this be a wave for the future? The possibility is truly *dazzling*!

Wonderful news! I guess we'll have to wait 'n see if an anniversary
video will be coming out with the newly added scenes.

Here's a coward's way of introducing yourself. Make a sign saying
